Is Lesco a good weed and feed?

In my experience, Lesco fertilizer works very well for promoting the growth and health of the grass. The nutrients in the fertilizer are well-balanced and provide the essential elements needed for the grass to thrive. I have personally used Lesco fertilizer on my own lawn and have seen significant improvements in the overall quality of the grass.

However, when it comes to weed control, I have found that Lesco may not be as effective as some other weed killers on the market. While it does contain some herbicides that target broadleaf weeds, it may not be as potent or fast-acting as dedicated weed killers. This is especially true if your lawn is composed of a high percentage of weeds, like in the case of your 3-acre lawn.

That being said, the effectiveness of any weed and feed product can also depend on the specific types of weeds present in your lawn. Some weeds may be more resistant to certain herbicides, while others may be more easily controlled. It’s important to identify the types of weeds you have and choose a weed and feed product that specifically targets those weeds.

In terms of price, Lesco fertilizer is generally more affordable compared to other brands on the market. This can be a significant advantage, especially if you have a large lawn like yours. Applying 10 bags of Lesco fertilizer to a 3-acre lawn is quite a substantial amount, and the cost savings can add up.

While Lesco fertilizer is effective for promoting grass growth and overall lawn health, it may not be as effective as dedicated weed killers for weed control. However, considering its price and the fact that it still contains some herbicides, it can still provide some level of weed control, especially for less stubborn or common weeds. It’s important to manage your expectations and consider other options if you have a lawn composed of a high percentage of weeds.
