2. Caesalpinia: This genus is native to tropical and subtropical regions around the world, including Central and South America, Africa, and Asia. It is commonly referred to as the dwarf poinciana or peacock flower, but it is also sometimes called the bird of paradise due to its showy flowers. Unlike the Strelitzia genus, the flowers of Caesalpinia species do not resemble birds. Instead, they are made up of vibrant, long-lasting clusters of red, orange, or yellow petals.
I have also had the opportunity to work with Caesalpinia species in my landscaping projects, and they are a fantastic choice for adding a pop of color to a garden. The flowers are not only beautiful but also attract pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds, making them a delight to watch.
